Ross Ward
Retired civil engineer to the Air Force and Beech Aircraft Ross K. Ward, 67, Augusta,
died Sunday, Aug. 4, at HCA Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta,
the Rev. Robert Box and Father Jim Billinger officiating.
Ward was born Jan. 6, 1924, in Marion, N.C., to Allie (Mace) and Clate Ward.
On Aug. 7, 1976, he married Pauline Leritz in Augusta. She survives.
Ward served in the military during the Korean conflict and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a son, Douglas Ward of Augusta;
daughters, Peggy Ann Thompson of Augusta, Bonnie Fry of Hutchinson;
brothers, Robert Ward of Kenly, N.C., Barney Ward, J.P. Ward, William Ward, all of Marion, N.C.;
stepdaughters, Diana Doolittle, Carol Meyer, both of Augusta, Paula Rigg, Linda Parker, both of Wichita;
sisters, Lucy Lowery, Louise Green of Marion, N.C.; uncle & aunt, Tull & Phyllis Mace of Marion, N.C.;
five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.

Richard Gant
Oil field worker Richard Lee Gant, 47, Augusta, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Jefferson Street Baptist Church in Eureka.
Graveside services are noon Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta,
with the Rev. Allan Hunter officiating both services.
Gant was born July 23, 1944, in Wichita to Anna (Casteel) and Truman Gant
On June 10, 1989, he married Caron Carney in Eureka. She survives.
Other survivors are stepson, Shannon Kofoid; brothers, Donald Gant of Odessa, Texas,
Ronald Gant of Eureka; sisters, Barbara Marrs of Wichita, Marian Phipps of Belle Plaine; and his parents of Eureka.
Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.

Gerald Wiseman
Douglass Grain Co. manager and J.L. Taylor livestock manager Gerald C. Wiseman, 77, Douglass, died Monday, Aug. 5.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday at the Douglass Christian Church. Burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
Wiseman was born Sept. 23, 1913, in Wichita to Maud (Anduss) and Charles Wiseman.
On Nov. 25, 1936, he married Ruth Taylor in Newton. She survives.
He was a former Douglass City Council member, former Douglass mayor,
former president of the Douglass Chamber of Commerce and
former president of the Douglass Senior Citizens.
He also belonged to the Douglass Christian Church, the Lions Club and the Douglass Lodge 151, A.F. & A.M.
Wiseman also had served on the Douglass Park Board and the Medicalodge of Douglass board.
Other survivors include a son, Jerry of Maple Hill; a daughter, Marilyn Kay Ralstin of Mulvane;
four brothers Elmer of Wichita, Charles of Augusta, Harold of Fort Worth, Texas,
Bruce of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Marian Flower of Wichita;
eight grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren.
Memorials have been established with the Douglass Public Library and the Douglass Senior Citizens.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home, Douglass, is in charge of arrangements.
Dennis Redger
Former driver for Hahn Trucking, R.C. Wilhite Trucking, Don Valdoiz Trucking Dennis J. Redger, 52, Burrton,
died Monday, Aug. 5. He is the father of Jonathan Kellogg of Augusta.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday at the Draper-Cannon Funeral Home, Newton.
Survivors include is wife, Susan J.; sons, Dennis J. Redger Jr. of San Diego, Calif.,
Jimmie Jo Kellogg of Hutchinson; daughters, Sonja Redger, Rebecca Nickels, both of Pievna,
Michelle Lamb of Burrton; stepson, Johnny Ford of Hutchinson;
stepdaughter, Lavonda Meyer of Burrton;
brothers, Eugene Redger of Newton, Dean I. Redger of Sherwood, Ark.;
two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the National Kidney Foundation.
