Eugene Behnke

Eugene “Gene” Behnke, 61, Augusta, died Monday, Aug. 12, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
He was owner/operator of Tek-Seal Inc., a local roofing business.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at the Lakeview Funeral Home, Wichita.
Minister R.L. Nave, a friend from Houston, Texas, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview' Gardens.
Visitation will be from 7:30 to 9 o’clock tomorrow night at the Wichita funeral home.
Behnke was born July 16, 1930 in Wisconsin.
He was a member of the Augusta Church of Christ and had been an Augusta resident for the past 14 years.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret: sons, Douglas Parkin of Kaukauna, Wis.,
Dean Parkin of Kaukauna, Dean Parkin of Appleton, Wis., Mark Fitzgerald of Memphis, Tenn.,
Darrell Parkin of Forest Junction, Wis.;
daughters, Debra Maries of Madison, Wis., Danette Eiting of Kaukauna, Barbara Fitzgerald of Clintonville, Wis.,
Diane Parkin of Little Chute, Wis., Sharon Behnke-Blessing of Tulsa, Okla.; brothers, Verlin of Sheboygan, Wis.;
sisters, Delores Schmeider of Crandon, Wis., Doreen Buechel of Chilton, Wis., Lilas Rosinsky,
Candice Dvorak, both of Manitowoc, Wis., Rochelle Zaborik of Reedsville, Wis.; eight grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta Church of Christ building fund.

Alfred Munroe

Alfred Munroe, retired Department of Defense com-ptroller in Europe, died Aug.13 at his home in Alexandria, Va.
He is the brother of Augusta resident Robert Munroe.
Munroe was a graduate of Wichita State University, the Syracuse School and Public Administration
and George Washington Law School;
He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Shenfeld of Glendale, Calif.

Virginia Foster

Virginia Foster, 70, a homemaker from Augusta, died today, Aug. 16, at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19 at Dunsford Chapel.
Rev. Michael Omundson will be in charge of the service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Foster was born on March 18, 1921 in Green City, Mo. to Horatio Albertson and Leora Law On
Sept. 30,1970, she married Ray Foster, who preceded her in death this year.
She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include: sons Jason Riddle of Augusta; step-sons Donald Foster of Great Bend
and Jerry Foster of Anchorage, Ala.; daughters Tina Riddle and Patricia Jones of Augusta,
Jozette Rhodes of El Dorado, Yvonne Fletcher of Wichita, Phyllis Grubbs of Qoverdale, Ore.;
stepdaughter Candy Foster of Wyoming; sisters Marie Young of Augusta and Fleda Brammer
of Townsend, Mont.; eight grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren
