Floyd Bacon

Floyd Bacon, 72, Boulder, Colo., died Monday, Sept. 23, in Rifle, Colo.
Bacon had been a Butler County Extension Office agent, working with local 4-H members.
Funeral services were Sept. 29 at Howe Mortuary, Boulder, Colo. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery, Colo.
Bacon was born in Lincoln County on May 1, 1919, to Maude (Skiles) and Lymon Bacon.
On March 30, 1947, he married Mildred Litquenberger in Jetmoore.
She preceded him in death in 1985.
Bacon worked with the Extension Service in Kansas for more than 20 years and was a Ford Salesman in El Dorado.
He graduated from Kansas State College, Manhattan, with a bachelor’s degree.
Survivors include a brother, Lymon Bacon of Greeley, Colo.; and a sister, Dorothy Pepper of Thermal, Calif.

Susan Honeycutt

Susan I. Honeycutt, 46, rural Douglass, died Friday, Oct. 11, at home.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Honeycutt was bom Jan. 31, 1945, in Hutchinson to Ruth (Theobald) and Stanley I. Brown.
She was married to Blaine Honeycutt.
Honeycutt was a welder at Boeing Aircraft, Wichita.
Survivors include daughters, Stephanie Baum of Wichita, Melanie Brown of Douglass,
Melinda Chapman of Wichita; brother John D. Brown of St. Joseph, Mo.;
sister Barbara Manion of Georgia; two grandchildren; her father, Stanley Brown of St. Joseph, Mo.
A memorial has been established with Special Olympics.

Willis Hartup

Willis Hartup, 76, Wichita, died Tuesday, Oct. 15. He was bom in Augusta.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary in Wichita.
Burial will be in Old Mission Cemetery, Wichita.
Hartup was born Feb. 1,1915, to Lucy Ann (Mann) and Walter Hartup.
Survivors include his wife, Marian; sons, Mike of Wichita, Larry of Emporia;
a daughter, Judy Briley of Wichita; nine grandchildren; one greatgrandchild.
Memorials have been established with Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy, 130 N. Topeka,
Wichita, Kan. 67207; and Hospice Inc., P.O. Box 3267, Wichita, Kan. 67201-3267.

Mary Long

Homemaker Mary Long, 95 Bums, died Wednesday, Oct. 9. S
he was the sister of Rhoda Kemper and Jessie Reetz, both of Augusta.
Funeral services were Saturday at Lamb-Nutter Mortuary Whitewater.
Other survivors include sons, Eldon, James V., both of Leoti, Lawrence of Newton,
Hugh of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Neal Scrivner of Cascade, Idaho;
14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Golden Acres Nursing Home, Leoti.

Two infant boys

Bartley John Crater Jr., Augusta, died Saturday, Oct. 12, and Clinton James Crater, Augusta, died Sunday, Oct 13.
They were infant twin sons of Bart and Maureen Crater of Augusta.
There will be a private service.
Other survivors include a sister, Kayla of the home; grandfather and stepgrandmother,
Jim and Janice Crater of Wichita; grandmothers, Arlene Peterson of Spokane, Wash., and Doreen Crater of Wichita.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.

Blaine Honeycutt

Blaine L. Honeycutt Jr., 39, rural Douglass, died Friday, Oct. 11, at his home.
His funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Verda & J.D. Laurance of Winfield;
sons, John E. Honeycutt and Christpher Lee Honeycutt, both of Arkansas City;
three stepdaughters, Stephanie Baum, Melinda Chapman of Wichita, Melanie Brown of Douglass;
three sisters, Cynthia Foltz of Arkansas; Lurella Pate of Salina and Virgie Honeycutt of Winfield.
