Mary Brandner

Mary Opal Brandner, 74, Wichita, died Wednesday, Nov. 13. She is the sister of Verla Tennyson of Augusta.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church chapel, Wichita.
Brandner was a retired First United Methodist .Church hostess.
Other survivors include brothers, Melvin of Valley Center, Wayne of Wichita; sister, Bernice McNew of Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.

William Smith

William “Gene” Smith, 68, Newton, died Saturday, Nov. 9.
He was the half-brother of Augusta resident Terry Smith and Virginia Kimball.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Koemer Heights Mennonite Brethem Church, Newton.
He was the Koemer Height Mennonite Brethren Church custodian.
Other survivors include his wife, Marilyn Doris; sons, Bradley Eugene, Douglas Eric, both of Newton;
daughter, Janice Lynne Sipes of Manhattan; sister, Dorothy Spoon of Lyons;
half-brothers, Edwin SMith of Kopperl, Texas, Delbert Krider of Denver, Colo.;
half-sister, Betty Byfield of Andover, five grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Koemer Heights Mennonite Brethem Church Special Adults and Youth Fund.
Draper-Cannon Funeral Home, Newton, is in charge of arrangements.

Aubrey Keely

Aubrey Austin Keely, 78, Towanda, died Saturday, Nov 9. at the Augusta Medical Complex
Inc He was the father of Gary M.
Keely and stepfather of Sharon Hunter, both of Augusta.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dunsford Funeral Home Augusta,
the Rev. Grant Goodwin officiating. Bunal will be in Towanda Cemetery.
Keely was born June 19, 1913 in Douglass to Carla Belle (Gazaway) and Elmer Frank Keely.
On Dec. 17,1960, he married Kathryn Delores Edwards m Weatherford, Texas.
He was a custom harvester Keely was a member of Church of Christ,
the Augusta Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2485, holding the titles of quartermaster, service commander
and commander. He served in the - Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife Kathryn; a son, Richard D. of Kalumazoo, Mich., stepson Darril Pratt of El Dorado,
Gary Pratt of Minnesota, Rodney Pratt of Manhattan; a daughter, Rpverlv Anderson of Gowne,
Iowa; stepdaughter, Rhonda Barlev of Towanda; a brother, Vic of Columbus; sisters, Gladiola Mullins of Wichita,
Maude Hoy of Pittsburg; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren
He was proceded in death two brothers,Herb & Walter,and two sisters, Grace Martin and Juanita Nutter.
A memorial has been established with Hospice Inc.

Martha Schultz

Martha Viola (Boucher) Schultz, 91, Wichita, died Friday, Nov. 8, at the Prairie Homestead Health Center.
She was a retired Augusta City clerk and Calverts Department Store bookkeeper.
Graveside services were today at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, the Rev. Robert Box officiating.
Schultz was born Oct. 7, 1900, in Augusta to Mildred & Ed Boucher.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Eugene Schultz.
Survivors include a son, Richard of Midland, Texas; two grandchildren, Steven Schultz and Susan York.
Schultz was a member of the First Baptist Church.
A memorial has been established with the Prairie Homestead Retirement Center, Wichita.

Juanita McCune

Homemaker Juanita A. McCune, 59, Rose Hill, died Friday, Nov. 8. She was the sister of Bill Polk of Douglass.
Funeral services were today at the Rose Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; son, Bradley of Rose Hill;
daughters, Deborah Bong, Shelley May, both of Wichita; brothers, Frank Polk of Utah, Jim Polk of Arizona,
Raymond Polk of Lawrence; a sister, Freida Gillum of Mountain Home, Ark.; five grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Rose Hill United Methodist Church.
Smith Mortuary, Derby, is in charge of arrangements.
