Milton G. Peters
Milton George Peters, 67, Augusta, died Tuesday, April 16, 1996.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, at Hillside Funeral Home Augusta.
Rev. W.M. Childress of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be at 2 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Alva, Okla.
Peters was born April 18, 1928 in Capron, Okla., to Roberts Milton and Christena Miller Peters.
He was retired as the senior manager of information services at Learjet.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva; daughters, Sherilyn Adams of Salina, Karren Sue Gasche of Wichita, and four grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the Arthritis Foundation.

Wilda Maixner

Wilda G. Maixner, 82, Augusta, died Wednesday, May 1, 1996 at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Wichita.
Maixner was born in Peabody on April 22, 1914, the daughter of Fred and Helena (Mayer) Fleischauer.
The homemaker is survived by her sons, Gary of Enid, Okla., Leslie of Wichita; daughter, Carolyn Borg of Wichita; brothers, Solomon Fleischauer of Wichita, Carl Fleischauer of Lovington, ILL.; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Vernon L. Speer

Vernon L. Speer, 74, Augusta, died Tuesday, April 23, 1996 at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Wichita.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Hillside Funeral Home Augusta.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at St. James Catholic Church with Father James Mainzer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Wichita.
Speer was born May 2, 1921 in Frederick to Roy and Anna (Becker) Speer.
He married Nancy Milflin in Wichita on June 27, 1980. She survives.
Speer was a retired Wichita city bus driver.
He is also survived by his sons, Jerry, Brad and Mark Speer, all of Wichita; daughters, Carolyn Wright of Wichita, Marilyn Wilkinson of Heber Springs, Ark.; step-daughters, Judy Bryant of Lakin, Carmen Covey of Alexandria, Va., Denise Brown of Douglass; sisters, Betty Guinn of Illinois, Nadine Smith of Minneapolis, Minn.; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with St. James Catholic Church.

Omer O’Donnell

Former Butler County treasurer and retired county clerk Omer F. O’Donnell, 79, Augusta, died Friday, April 26, 1996 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, April 30, at the Augusta United Methodist Church with Rev. Vern Bowers officiating. Burial will in the , Douglass Cemetery.
O’Donnell was born May 4, 1916 in Milton, the son of Frank W. and Florence M. (Cox) O’Donnell.
He married Vida Gloves on , Sept. 7, 1943, she survives.
O’Donnell was a member of the Midian Temple Shrine, Eastern Star, a past master of Masons Douglass Lodge 151 where he was a member for 45 years, and the Scottish Rite 32.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters and a grandchild.
Besides his wife, O’Donnell is survived by his son, Jim of Douglass and Jerry of Gladewater, Texas; brothers, Ira Lee of Wichita and Keith of Topeka; sisters, Nadine Wait of Benton and Lela Veerland of Haysville; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Hillside Funeral Home Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
