Frances Hansen

Frances B. Hansen, 75, Augusta, died Thursday, July 11, 1996, Via Christi, St. Joseph, Wichita.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, at Elmwood Cemetery.
Hansen was born Sept. 4, 1920 in Butler County, to John F. and Dora Arebelle (Fetrow) Wilson.
She was the youngest of seven children.
Hansen graduated from East High School in Wichita in 1939.
During World War II she worked as a production worker at Beechcraft and Cessna aircraft plants.
She worked for many years a s a cook in the Augusta school system until she retired in 1985.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Augusta.
On Oct. 23, 1943, she married Harold C. Hansen and together they raised five children in Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Raymond G. Wilson, Melvin S. Wilson; sister, Virgie Mae Dimler.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Keith E. Hansen of Wichita, George A. Hansen of Brighton, Colo.;
daughters, Dorothy A. Aelmore of Wichita, Debbie Landa, of Golden, Colo., Nancy Hansen of Wichita;
brother, Frank Wilson of Augusta; sisters, Fay Leach of Wichita, Flossie Cowles of Cody, Wyo., and
seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church, Augusta.
Hillside Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.

Bertha Hansen

Bertha Frances Hansen, 75, Augusta, died Thursday, July 11, 1996, Via Christi St. Joseph, Wichita.
A joint memorial graveside service was held today, July 15, at Elmwood Cemetery alongside her husband,
Harold, who died July 14, 1996.

Harold Hansen

Harold C. Hansen, 84, Augusta, died Sunday, July 14, 1996, Via Christi St. Joseph Skilled Nursing Unit, Wichita.
A joint graveside memorial service was held today, July 15, at Elmwood Cemetery alongside his wife, Bertha,
who died July 11, 1996.
Hansen was born Oct. 26, 1911 in rural Butler County, the only child of Mads Pete and Anna Louise (Johnson) Hansen.
He grew upon a farm east of El Dorado and graduated from El Dorado High School.
For a brief time he worked for Skelly Refinery in El Dorado and Beechcraft in Wichita
before joining the Army Air Corps in World War II.
He retired from the Gas Service Company in Augusta after 29 years on Nov. 1, 1976.
Hansen was an active member of the First Christian Church in Augusta and participated
with his children as a leader in the Boy Scouts and as a coach in Girls Softball.
On Oct. 23, 1943, he married Bertha Frances Wilson and together they raised five children in Augusta.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and his wife.
He is survived by his sons, Keith E. of Wichita, George A. of Brighton, Colo.; daughters, Dorothy A. Aelmore of Wichita,
Debbie S. Landa, Golden Colo., Nancy J. Hansen of Wichita; seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church, Augusta.
