Alice Hartup

Former Augusta resident Alice A. Hartup, 87, Topeka, died Monday, July 29, 1996.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Hillside Funeral Home Augusta. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Hartup was born Jan. 2, 1909 in Hickory Ridge, Ark., to Lewis Newton and Emma (Pryor) Green.
The homemaker married Ray William Hartup on Sept. 14, 1929 in the El Dorado Courthouse. He preceded her in death.
Hartup was a member of the Lily Lake Home Demonstration Unit.
She is survived by her son, Donald R. of Huntsville, Ala., and Robert D. of Topeka; daughter, Virginia A. Cunningham of Carbondale; five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the First Nazarene Church of Augusta. .

Dorvan Fischer

Dorvan L. Fischer, 71, Augusta, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1996, at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.
There will be a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Elmwood Cemetery.
Fischer was born May 2, 1925 in Hope, the son of William and Ernestine (Krause) Fischer.
He married Mary Blankley and was a retired Cessna Aircraft Corp. employee and a former Augusta Medical Complex employee.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Gary Lee Fischer of Douglass and Ronald Ray Fischer of Augusta; daughters, Shirley Ann McDaniels of Two Rivers, Wis., Brenda Sue Schnake, Diane Lynn Moore, both of Augusta, Debbie Kay Katsel of Missoula, Mont.; 10 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Hospice Inc.
Hillside Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.

Norman Farlow

Norman D. Farlow, 73, Augusta, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1996, the Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral service was held this morning at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta. Dr. Dennis Winzenried of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church of Wichita, officiated.
Farlow was born Jan. 5, 1923 in Baltimore, Md., to Roy Alvin and Winifred Mae (Tilghman) Farlow.
Farlow was a retired Mercedes-Benz of North American administrative manager and a retired Miller Auto Parts employee and former owner of Cooper’s Fountain.
He married Eleanor L. Knight on Jan. 15, 1959 in Sarasota, Fla. She survives.
Other survivors include his father, sons, Danny Farlow of Wichita, Kevin Farlow of Haven, Gary Farlow of Stanford, Conn.. Norman Farlow of Sydney, Australia; daughters, Winifred Rich of Norwalk, Conn., Virginia Farlow of Augusta, and Sharon Gonzales of Mexico City, Mexico; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.

Claribel Morton

Claribel F. (Bowen) Morton, 94, Augusta, a retired social worker, died Monday, Oct. 21, 1996 at the Via Christi St. Joseph Medical Center.
Cremation is planned.
She was born June 7, 1903 to Wilbur P. Bowen and Lois Knapp Bowen in Ypsilanti, Mich.
Survivors include a niece, Martha Benham of Augusta, and a nephew, George Swain of Cando, N.D.

Colleen Wolfe

Colleen Wolfe, 74, of Augusta died Nov. 12, 1996, at Via Christi St. Joseph in Wichita.
Her service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Hillside Funeral Home Chapel, Augulta.
She was born Aug. 12, 1922, to Arthur H. and Elleyne (Weaver) Moore in Oklahpma City. She worked for Aramark Food Service at Beech Aircraft.
Survivors are sons, Richard Herndon of Oklahoma, Charles Herndon of California and fylark Wolfe of Wichita; daughter Brenda Woody of Augusta; five grandchildren and one great grand child.
