John V. Harms
John V. Harms, 82, Augusta, || died Wednesday, Aug, 28, 1996, U at the Augusta Medical I Complex Long Term Care E Facility. B
His funeral service will be B 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at B the Augusta First Baptist ■ Church. Dr. Robert Box, church | pastor, will officiate. Burial will fl be in Elmwood Cemetery.
A special visitation for family I and friends will be conducted I from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. g 30, at the Dunsford Funeral Home.
He was born April 25, 1914 in Whitewater as a son of Peter J. Harms and Verena F. Wuthrich Harms.
On Sept. 25, 1939, he married Gertrude Catherine Enz in a ceremony at Newton. She survives.
Mr. Harms was a retired instrumentation foreman at the former Mobil Oil refinery in Augusta. He worked there 39 1/2 years from May of 1937 to January of 1977.
He also served his church, Augusta First Baptist, as a Sunday School teacher, deacon board member, and as “Mr. Fix-it” over the years. He was a member of the building committee when the church moved to its present location at State and Kelly.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Carol Harms of St. Paul, Minn., and Allan and Carolyn Harms of Derby; a daughter and son-in-law, Joan E. and William Dotson of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Dorothy Penner of Newton, and Justena Claussen of Hesston, nine grandchildren, and six greatgrandchildren.
Memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund have . been suggested.

Margaret King
Margaret Louise “Peggy" King died Friday, Aug. 30, 1996, Susan B. Allen Hospital, El Dorado.
She was buried Saturday at Sunset Lawns Cemetery, if Dorado, with Fr. James Mainzjer, St. James Catholic Church, Augusta, officiating, but, a memorial service and requiem eucharist will be held tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, El Dorado.
King was born Aug. 18, 1926, in El Dorado, the daughter of Richard Clarkson and Hazle Pauline (Getter) Woodward. She married Robert Merton King on Dec. 29, 1946, he preceded her in death in 1960. She wa|also preceded in by her parents and one son.
She is survived by her son, Richard of El Dorado; daughter, Mary Margaret Richter of Islamabad, Pakistan; two grandchildren. j
In lieu of flowers; the family requests a contribution be made to St. James Catholic Elementary School, Augusta.
Hillside Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.

Wanda Jackson
Wanda L. Jackson, 64, Augusta, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1996.
Her service was today at the First Southern Baptist Church, Augusta.
Jackson was born July 4, 1932 in Cull, Mo., the daughter of Franklin and Berta Lee (Huddleston) Francis.
She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Augusta. She married John D. Jackson on Aug. 31, 1956, he survives.
Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Tamara D. Fleming of Mill-brook, Ala., Shirley K. Windholz of Augusta; grandchildren, Stefannie, Ashley and Caleb Fleming of Millbrook, Ala., Michael, Marcus, and Mackenzie Windholz of Augusta, Megan Hill of San Diego, Calif.; brothers, Roy C. Francis of Spring-field, Mo., Franklin D. Francis and Duane Francis, both of Independence, Mo.; sisters, Charlene Parent of West Plains, Mo., Thelma Russell of Koshkonong, Mo.; Modena Rose and Evelyn Thomson of Independence, Mo.
A memorial has been established with Hospice, Inc.
Hillside Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.

T. W. McLemore
T. Wayne McLemore, 65, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 1996 at Augusta Medical Complex.
Funeral arrangements were pending this morning at the Hillside Funeral Home East in Wichita.
He was born July 29, 1931 to Lonnie and Lillie McLemore in Tulsa, Okla.
Wayne went to school in Areola, Mo., and served in the
U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He worked at Boeing Aircraft from 1953 until his retirement in 1993.
