M.M. Rummell
Milagros “Millie” M. Rummell, 92, Augusta, died Wednesday, July 3, 1996.
There will be a graveside service for her 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at the Dunlap Cemetery, rural Augusta, with Father James Mainzer of St. James Catholic Church officiating.
Rummell was born Oct. 27, 1903 in Morobes, Puerto Rico, to Ramon and Juana Baptista (Colon) Barretto.
This member of the St. James Catholic Church became a homemaker when she married Charles William Rummell in Morobes on Nov. 23, 1935, he preceded her in death in 1963.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ramon and Joses; five sisters, Paca, Angelina, Virginia, Ida, Rosa.
She is survived by her son, Charles W. Rummell, Jr. of Niceville, Fla.; daughters, Ruth Hartman of Norton, Genevieve Cramer of Springfield, Mo.; brothers, Antonio and Gonsolo; sister, Juanita Barretto , all of Morobes; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for St. James Catholic Church.
Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia Prier
Former Augusta resident Virginia Prier, 74, Houston, Mo., died Sept. 11, 1996.
Her service will be 11 a.m. Friday, the New Life Freewill Baptist Church, Licking, Mo.
Prier taught first grade at Lincoln Elementary in Augusta for 33 years, and was past president of the Augusta BPW Club and Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Teachers Sorority, as well as a member of the First Baptist Church in Augusta.
A memorial has been established to the Cancer Fund, sent to the Fox Funeral Home, Licking, Mo., which is in charge of arrangements. ^

Betty A. Spires
Betty Ann Spires, 65, Augusta, died Friday, Sept. 13, 1996.
Her funeral service was today, Sept. 16, in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel and burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
Spires was born Oct. 6, 1930 in El Dorado to Glenn W. and Edna Florence (Metzger) Edwards.
She became a homemaker when she married Raymond Spires. He survives.
Other survivors include her sons, Rick and David of Augusta, Mike of Douglass; sister, Sandy Belcher of El Dorado, her mother, Edna of Augusta; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Charles Bourland
Charles William Bourland, 72, Augusta, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 1996.
A graveside service will be held tomorrow, Sept. 17, at Elmwood Cemetery.
Bourland was born to Ruben and Dora Bourland on Feb. 16, 1924 in East St. Louis, ILL.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was a retired electrician for Mobil Oil.
He is survived by his wife, Vera, of the home, son, David of Gonzales, La.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Hillside Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
