Edgar M. Hansen
Edgar MacArthur Hansen, 95, of Augusta died Wednesday, Jan 15, 1997, at Walnut Valley Manor nursing home.
His memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1997, at Halstead United Methodist Church.
Edgar MacArthur Hansen was born Dec. 6,. 1901, to George Gustaff and Mary Ellen (Fuller) Hansen in southern Harvey County.
He married Leota Lucille Creasser. She preceded him in death. He married Pearl Lola Briggs. She also preceded him in death.
He was a retired farmer, school bus driver and antique dealer.
Survivors are daughter, Dixie Eastham of Augusta; sisters, Velma Pocock of Andover and Irene Verona Hansen of Wichita; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Eldora Campbell.
A memorial has been established with Halstead United Methodist Church, 511 Chestnut, Halstead, KS. 67056.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has the arrangements.

Thomas Edwin “Tom” Wilson, 69, of Augusta died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at Augusta Medical Complex.
Visitation will be until 8 p.m. this evening at the Dunsford Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Dunsford Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Thomas Edwin Wilson was born Feb. 24, 1927, to Frank and Tulsa (Schoonmaker) Wilson in Oklahoma.
He married Ann Fennel March 25, 1944, in El Dorado.
He was a retired treater for Mobil Oil refinery.
Survivors are wife, Ann Wilson of Augusta, sons, Robert Wilson and Greg Wilson both of Augusta; daughter, Tommie Lynn Payton of Wichita; brothers, Gene Wilson of Wichita; Frank Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jerry Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Thelma Wilson and Phyllis Bronson both of Augusta and Judy Holton of Wichita and two grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be sent to the funeral home.

Catherine Virginia (Wirth) Woolsey, 74, of Whitewater and formerly of Augusta died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, at Via Christi-St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Her family will receive visitors from 9 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Lamb-Nutter 'Mortuary, Whitewater.
Her funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Lamb-Nutter Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery, Furley.
Catherine Virginia Wirth was born Nov. 29, 1922, to Gilbert C. and Marietta (Leady) Wirth in Augusta.
She graduated from Augusta High School and lived in El Dorado and Augusta. She was a nurse’s aid.
Survivors are son, Robert T. Woolsey of Pleasanton, Texas; daughter, Mary Hopkins of Valley Center; brother, William C. Wirth of Wichita ; aunts, Anna Marshall of El Dorado and Carol Wirth of Wichita and two grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Wheat State Manor Mobile Transportation Fund. Contributions may be sent to the
funeral home.
