Dornbusch
Dies At 70
Jarke Bruno Dornbusch, 70, Route 2, died yesterday at his home.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Christ Lutheran Church. Pastor Gaylen A. Burow will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the Butler County Hospice and the Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta.
He was born Feb. 2, 1913 in Paullina, Iowa to Tjarke Bruno and Henderika Raveling Dornbusch.
He married Catherine Rohner Aug. 28, 1933 in Rockford, Ill. She survives.
He was an aircraft assembler at Beech Aircraft Co. in Wichita and a member of the IAM Union District 70 Local 733.
Other survivors include sons, Jack Gaylord of Dallas, Texas, Rodney Keith of Cypress, Texas, and James Lee of Roanoke, Texas; a daughter, Betty Ann Miller of Newago, Mich.; brother, John R. of Spencer, Iowa; a sister, Bernice Beck of St. Coud, Minn.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Trinka Rassmussen, preceded him in death in 1945.
John Gault Dies At 86
John Comley Gault, 86, Route 2, died this morning at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 8, 1897 in Livingston, Mo., to James Clarence and Katie Louise Cain Gault.
He married Hazel Hill Sept. 6, 1917 in Newton. She preceded him in death Sept. 1, 1971.
He retired from Mobil Oil Co., in 1960.
Survivors include a sister, Ethel Howerton of Newton, and several nieces and nephews.
the indictment of a mayor, died Wednesday at his home in Florida after a long illness. He was 82.
Bontempo’s alleged no-show city jobs in the 1970s resulted in an indictment of Newark Mayor Kenneth Gibson and a former city council president. Both were acquitted.
Father Dies
Herman Wellner, Derby, father of Merlyn Wellner, service manager at Hatfield Chevrolet, was found dead at his home this morning. Funeral arrangements are pending.
Sister Dies In Texas
Margaret Bruce, 78, Dallas, Texas, died there Wednesday, Sept. 14. She was the sister of Mary Bowers and Gertrude Fischer, both of Augusta.
Services were held Friday in Dallas.
Margaret was born March 2, 1905 in Alvy, W.Va., to the late Francis C. and Elizabeth Duffy Moriarty.
She lived in Augusta and graduated from Augusta High School. She married Vernon Bruce in Augusta. He preceded her in death Oct. 19, 1975.
She was a retired Nemmon-Marcus employee.
Other survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Fran Bruce, Dallas; sisters, Sister Carmelita, Wichita and Julia Bray, Houston; a brother, Francis W. Moriarty, Lafayette, La.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Father Dies At Home
Herman William Wellner Jr., 70, Derby, father of Merlin Wellner of rural El Dorado, died Monday at his home.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Wichita. Pastor Thomas W. Schaefer will officiate and burial will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Tyro.
A memorial has been established with the Grace Lutheran Church.
He was born Jan. 16, 1913 in Ute, Iowa, to Herman William and Ann Timm Wellner Sr.
He married Irene Weigel. She preceded him in death. He was a retired farmer.
Other survivors include sons, Robert and Loren, both of Wichita; a brother, Ernest of Killeen, Texas; sisters, Ruth Schneider of Ute, Iowa, Helen Berens, Esther Remmes, Emma Langholdt, all of Charter Oak, Iowa, Dorothy Kroll of Mapleton, Iowa, and 13 grandchildren.
Father Dies In California
James Harrison Thomson, 68, Cluver City, father of Jacqueline Horner of Augusta, died at his home yesterday.
He was born July 23, 1915 in Minneapolis, Minn.
He married Frances Oct. 3, 1940. She survives.
He was a retired EEG technician at the UCLA hospital in Los Angeles.
Other survivors include two sons, Douglas Paul Thomson of Northridge, Calif., and Steven James Thomson of Culver City; a sister, Virginia Cornforth of Losa Angeles; a son-in-law, Bill Horner of Augusta; six grandchildren, Lori Tuinstra and Jeanine Horner, both of Wichita, and Charity Thompson, Steven Thompson, Scott Thompson and Sally Thompson, all of California.
